How I have missed writing this past week!
Hey guys,
I knew I needed to get a post out and was brainstorming at the back of my mind but suddenly an idea hit me after I watched Shershah.
As I finished watching it tears were streaming down my face and there was a lump in my throat.I was so inspired by the patriotism of these jawans, more than inspired I was in awe. I was in awe of just how fearless, selfless, valiant, and proud they are. I was shocked how they were literally willing to dedicate their entire life to India.
The movie might be portraying 0.999% of the just pure love and patriotism these brave souls have for our country. The movie displayed their patriotism extremely well but it will not be a close match to the REAL love these people have, to be willing to give up your life, say goodbye to your family and leave a life of luxury is the most strong thing ever and I believe something we do not talk about enough.
I was shocked to see how ignorant I was to the struggles of the army and I was disappointed, the irony is I was so taken aback by their struggles, which is the glorified version in the movie. Take a second to think about their actual life-seeing death take away people you live with, who have become your family, being in constant danger and any day could be your last day. It got me thinking, who gave us the right to pick apart the country, the same country these people are giving their lives for. Can you imagine giving your heart and soul to a place most of us are willing to flee?
So, today’s post is dedicated to these brave, fearless men and women who have devoted their lives to our country. Who risk it all for our safety, and yet we do not talk about them enough. They all are heroes, every single one of them and every single story of theirs deserves to be heard and I promise we will not forget their stories. So today, make sure you read a story of a brave soldier you did not know about, and let us make sure their sacrifices won’t go to vain. Let us hear and share their stories for them, for every single jawan who put their life on the line for us. For every single jawan who let us dream and sleep peacefully at night.Thankyou for being the true hero, the heroes we don’t appreciate enough.
I would like to end with this quote that says it all, "Our flag does not because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of every soldier who died protecting it”.
Thankyou for reading.
You are loved
